Overview
In the framework of my final project in graphic design, I chose to design an application for the sight impaired. The project began with a desire to help the sight impaired and instill in them independence and confidence.
This project touches me on a personal level because my mother, who is seeing impaired, has difficulty in certain situations, such as walking alone at night and is susceptible to injuries caused by roadblocks.
The purpose of this application is to direct the user and his relatives in navigation, voice direction and heightened lighting.

Research
There are a lot of visually impaired accessories, but I only found two products that can really help the visually impaired.
ray - Ray is a standard smartphone-based mobile device that incorporates a host of useful functions designed to help the blind person in everyday life.
orcam - OrCam MyEye is a tiny device with a smart camera that attaches to virtually any eyeglass frame, enabling you to enjoy the morning paper, read any book, and even catch up on your email.
